Fanomezana Ratsoavina
Fano is a conservation biologist and herpetologist, a lecturer and leading researcher at the University of Antananarivo's Department of Zoology and Animal Biodiversity (ZBA). Her work has expanded the knowledge of Madagascar's herpetofauna through the discovery of new species. She is also actively engaged in lemur conservation, by studying lemur diversity and the effects of habitat change. Furthermore, she teaches and mentors upcoming Malagasy biologists and conservationists, building local capacity.
